What’s something you’re particularly proud of or excited about?
- In every social crisis and social disasters, we provided trainings and interventions for public. In Covid-19 pandemic, we had live programs (Teaching CT and its applications) on Instagram twice a week for two years, helping people to promote their mental health and family relationship.
- We translated and published all Dr. Glasser’s books into Farsi. Choice Theory Printed 50 times(3300 volumes in every print = 16500 books).
- In the recent 12 days war between Iran and Israel, we were the only institute that provided 15 videos about 1- Stress Management and 2- How to Heal from War Trauma and published it in Social Media (Face book, Telegram, WhatsApp and YouTube) for free to the pubic.
- We fully sponsored two counselors from Afghanistan and provided accommodation, food and trainings in Tehran as well as support with online courses to help them with the process to establish William Glasser Institute in Afghanistan.
- We also took CT to the Kurdish region of Iraq and started training for a school on their Quality school journey up to Advanced Practicum. The principal of that School will attend his Certification in this month.
- We provided training and support to establish the first Quality School in Iran. Rahyar School now is a Glasser Quality School in the region.
- We have 42 Faculties (three Senior Faculty and one is also in the process now)
Any recent wins, milestones, or cool projects? What makes your organization unique or special?
- Last month, Persian translation of Dr Glasser’s CT Book published for 50 times and the publisher celebrated its 15-year anniversary.
- Recently we decided to change our model of training. Instead of doing Basic week and then Basic Practicum, Advanced week etc which normally some of the attendants from each phase never show up again, we decided to run a comprehensive program for 14 Months. In this program, instead of signing up for a basic or advanced week, they will register for comprehensive training. In the program 8 Faculty members are involved (Two seniors and six Basic Week trainers. Participants attending training every week, practicing role plays, chart, asking their questions and have monthly lectures and also group discussions. They also have access to online and offline videos that Dr. Sahebi illustrate Role plays or explains concepts.
- In the 14 months program they have opportunities to practice every week and update themselves. We think this is a great way to engage participants in the WGI program from Basic week to Certification.
- We also have six participants from Afghanistan (Fully Sponsored by WG Iran) to create opportunity for establishing WGI in Afghanistan.
