Spotlight on some of WGI’s MOs

This month, as we celebrate the Centennial of Dr. William Glasser, we would like to say thank you to the amazing people in all our MOs who work tirelessly to promote the work of Dr. Glasser.

The values of WGI are Connecting, Leading and Celebrating, and we cannot do this without the unique and amazing global community of Choice Theory by Dr. William Glasser.

So many MOs are leaders who connect and celebrate. However, they are first people, counsellors, therapists, teachers, business leaders and so many other roles, like stylists, who have become shining examples of William Glasser’s work in addition to being part of their Member Organizations.

WGI UK

From the UK, we have members who are organizing events for charity, involving youth, and even sports organizations. They are developing the Quality Organizations Framework to support/recognize organizations working to CT principles and training staff in CT.

William Glasser France

In France, they are working with youth and families within community centers and have translated TCOYL into French. They are pillars of France, also working with the Muslim communities and within their own families and cultural Centers. We can’t wait to continue connecting with them.

Glasser New Zealand

New Zealand has a strong commitment to Quality Schools and is so welcoming, they are a strong part of our international community and we hope to see them in the spotlight very soon.

Glasser South Africa

South Africa was part of last month’s Spotlight and showed us how strong they are in youth centers and with teachers, “sowing the seeds for potential future Glasser Quality Schools”. Not forgetting the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, as well as the Department of Health and Wellness.

Fundación Elegir

Colombia, the one and only MO in Latin America. They continue to astound us not only as an organization, however also as a quality school. As many MOs do, they do a full 360 degree with youth and include workshops for parents, such as “Happy and inspiring parenting”. En español es un fundación de excelencia. They are even open to expanding and helping in other Latin American countries to share William Glasser’s work.

William Glasser Institute Ireland

In Ireland, they are front and center in supporting Glasser’s work on TikTok and other social media. They hosted the 8th European Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Conference on 21–22 June 2025. The MO rep is also incorporating meditation and guided breathing techniques while sharing the amazing work of William Glasser.

William Glasser Institute India

Going straight to India, we congratulate their tireless work and sharing CT across India and making it possible for as many people to be trained. They have incorporated CT in a doctoral thesis that includes research with schools. Their findings have already been acclaimed in India and across our globe, recognized by Punjabi University, Patiala, and currently seeking a publisher. It was presented at Oxford University at a conference, contributing to the credibility of Dr. William Glasser’s work.

Glasser Canada

Canada has been creating a new website, monthly sessions for “Théorie du Choix en français” and Lynn Sumida (senior faculty) did an online Master Class that, like all their online events, welcomed people across the globe to connect as part of a worldwide community.
